Before starting, ensure you have the app open and on the screen as shown in step 1 below.
Steps
- Enter the amount you would like to charge and tap Charge
- Tap the red button (It’s important that the button is red colour. If it is grey, you may need to check your internet connection).
- Ask the customer to hold their payment card or smart device (Apple Pay or Google Pay) to the rear of your device. Continue holding the card/device until the four green lights illuminate.
- Wait for authorisation. After a few seconds, the customer’s bank will securely authorise the payment and you will see a Mastercard or Visa symbol flash briefly on the screen.
- Offer a receipt. Once the transaction is completed you may offer the customer either an email receipt by entering their email address or a QR receipt by offering them to scan the code visible on the screen.
